I shouldn't be doing this...
But it's one of the things I struggled with in my early Copywriting days
And I figure it could help you (if it's something you're struggling with currently)
There's nothing as painful as losing a Client
Because you didn't have a means of receiving money from them when they were ready to send you your upfront payment
Here's a few payment options you can use to receive payment from Foreign Clients
- Western Union
- A Dormiciliary account
- A U.S Bank account
For most of these gateways,
All you have to do is create an invoice,
Then send them payment details or create a request link
And forward it to your client, alongside your invoice
Wait.... no Paypal?
That's an option too...
But whether you live in or outside of Nigeria
I won't advice you to use Paypal to consistently receive serious sums of money
It comes with lots of baggage
We have some money stuck there (Money we could use to run ads or buy Software for Nairaroad)
And you probably know this already, but for reminder's-sake
The people at Paypal could wake up one morning and just decide to ...seize your money for no reason at all.
All your hardwork and sweat...
Poof! ...... Gone!
But if you've been using it without issues...
You don't have to stop
Just have one or 2 other alternatives you'll be using for different clients
This way... you're not using one basket to collect all your goodies
You should have at least 3 of these payment gateways up and ready
Don't wait until it's time to receive money from your client
And the question of which option works best depends on:
What works for you and your Client(s)
Hope this helps
P.S: But to receive money from foreign clients,
...you have to have Clients willing to pay you right?
In my next email (or the one after tomorrow)...
I'll share a simple tip on how you land clients who pay well
Without begging or losing your dignity
For now though..
If you're interested in joining my next coaching program...
- Starts March 1st, 2021
- Duration: 3 Months (with lifetime access to me)
- Fee: $1,000 (NGN400,000... OFFICIAL Exchange rate)
- Slots: 5 persons only (3 slots left... 2 already taken)
You can reply this email asking for payment details
(If you have any questions, you can ask too...)
"Aaaah ahhn, No sales pitch? ... Won't you tell me what I'm getting for NGN400,000 worth of private coaching? Eh... you this Andy!"
Let's just say I'm very lazy this morning
But really... there's no sales pitch for this coaching program
It's more like... if you think I'm worth my salt
And you have the money
Then go ahead (and feel free to ask me questions before you sign up too)
But if you don't see the value in paying me NGN400,000 for private coaching,
Then that's fine too... you can pass on the offer.
P.P.S: If you can't afford it...
But you really want to learn Copywriting from me
And you're not in any of my Copywriting classes yet...
